Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2024
The privacy of your data—and it is your data, not ours!—is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.
This policy applies to 805 Software LLC and our product, Demoworthy, an API demo-building platform for sales teams. It applies to visitors to Demoworthy.com, prospective customers, customers, and authorized users (in relation to their use of Demoworthy). We refer to these individuals as “you” throughout this policy.
If you are a sales team’s end user and you have questions about how your information is collected and processed through the services, please contact the organization that provided your information to us.
If you are a California resident, please click here to see our California Notice at Collection, which includes additional disclosures as required by California law.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here’s what that means in practice:
Identity and access
When you sign up for Demoworthy, we ask for identifying information such as your name, email address, and company name. This allows you to personalize your new account, and we can send you product updates and other essential information. With your consent, we will send you newsletters and other updates.
We’ll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won’t use your name or company in marketing without your permission.
Billing information
If you sign up for a paid Demoworthy plan, we ask for your payment information and billing address. Credit card information is submitted directly to our payment processor and doesn’t touch our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction, including the last 4 digits of your card, for account history and billing support.
Product interactions
We store the content you upload or maintain in your Demoworthy account, such as demos, API specs, and any assets tied to those demos. We keep this content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we’ll delete the content within 60 days.
General geolocation data
We log the full IP address used to sign up for an account and for security purposes, such as preventing fraud. We keep this data for as long as your account is active.
Website interactions
We collect information about your browsing activity on Demoworthy.com for analytics, such as how you navigate the site, pages visited, and time spent. These analytics help us improve our product. If you’re signed in, this data may be tied to your user account.
Anti-bot assessments
We use CAPTCHA across Demoworthy to prevent spam and bot activity, evaluating behavior like IP address and mouse movements. CAPTCHA service results help protect our platform; we do not access evaluated information.
Advertising and Cookies
Demoworthy uses cookies to store preferences, facilitate A/B testing, and track analytics. We may also use third-party cookies to track ad performance. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser, but some features may not function properly without cookies.
Voluntary correspondence
When you contact Demoworthy for support, we keep that correspondence for reference. We may also store responses to surveys or interviews with your consent.
When we access or disclose your information
To provide services. We use third-party subprocessors to help run Demoworthy and provide services. You can view a list of our subprocessors upon request.
To troubleshoot issues. With your permission, we may access your data to assist with support requests or to troubleshoot issues.
To comply with legal requests. 805 Software LLC is a U.S.-based company. If we are legally required to disclose your information (e.g., by a court order), we will notify you unless prohibited by law.
Aggregated and de-identified data. We may use aggregated or de-identified data for any purpose, including marketing or analytics.
If acquired. If Demoworthy is acquired, we will notify you before any personal information is transferred or subject to a new privacy policy.
